Which method of carpet cleaning do you provide?

We normally use the method recommended/required by the carpet manufacturer. In most cases this will be hot water extraction, also known as steam cleaning.

Why should I have my carpets cleaned?

Although vacuuming removes surface dirt and debris from carpet, a thorough clean with commercial grade equipment gets deeper into the carpet fibers, ground in dirt, allergens, oils, and spills.

This  helps with odour removal, which vacuuming often doesn’t affect. The appearance of your carpets will often be improved and some regular cleaning will help maintain the quality and life of the fibers.

Urine removal can be a complex process.  The type of carpet, and the degree of contamination greatly affects the outcome. Often we are able to achieve very great results using topical solutions and treatments.

This depends on the substance of the stain, material of the carpet and how long it has been present. We will do our best to remove any stains that we see, or are pointed out to us. However, please let us know about stains ahead of time so that we can pretreat them. This will help achieve the best possible results. Not everything can be removed, but we will do our best.

Should I apply the carpet protectant after the cleaning?

How long does it take for the carpets to dry?

Your carpet will be only slightly damp to the touch after your cleaning. Most carpets typically need 6-12 hours to dry completely. In our climate, the drying time will very depending on the time of year your carpets are cleaned, and the air circulation, humidity and temperature in your home.

Preparing for your Carpet Cleaning

How often should I vacuum my carpet?

When it comes to maintaining your carpet, the most critical areas of focus are high-traffic areas. If vacuuming is neglected, then sand, dirt, and other dry soils can attach to carpet fibers and settle on the base of the carpet. Over time, these abrasive granules cut and wear excessively on the fibers as you walk back and forth across them, even if you can’t see them. Vacuum your carpet often – at least once or twice per week – to avoid premature wear.
